Prompt: McCandless set out to live independently in the wilderness, but his death reveals the harsh reality of nature and survival. In your blog post, analyze how his desire for independence contributed to his death. Then, connect this idea to your own life by explaining a time when you wanted complete independence or control over a situation. Did things go as planned, or did you face unexpected challenges?

Prompt Response: McCandless's desire for freedom led to his death as in his haste to be free he makes multiple tiny mistakes that lead to his untimely demise. When I was younger I wanted to be able to do whatever I wanted and not have to listen to what other people told me and because of that I ended up getting in trouble a lot. Things did not end up going in the way that I had imagined they would in that situation.

Summary: Finished the Into the Wild film.

Reflection: I learned that small mistakes can lead to large problems. Knowing this will help me as I progress through my life.
