Prompt: In “We Real Cool,” the speakers make choices that seem exciting, bold, and rebellious, even though those choices lead to consequences. Write about a moment in your own life when you followed what looked cool or fun, only to realize afterwards that it wasn’t the smart or responsible path. What influenced your decision, and how did your perspective change later?

Prompt Response: One time I was playing tag and I spun myself around till I was dizzy because I thought it would be fun, I then ran 'head first into a metal pole and opened a gash on my head that was just gushing out blood. After that incident I never did that again and realized how stupid the entire scenario was.

Summary: Completed annotation of the poem "We Real Cool"

Reflection: I learned that a lot of teenagers think really unsafe activities as cool. Knowing this will help me steer clear of their bad influences as I progress through life.
