Prompt Response: When I look back at myself during the beginning of the first semester, I can see how much I have grown and changed. The thing I enjoyed the most in the class were all of the group assignments we got to do, it allowed me to express my ideas and opinions with the people around me. The aspect of the course I connected most with was poetry and it allowed me to view others perceptions of the same material. One area I feel I need more support in is understanding poetry as sometimes I misinterpret the meaning of the poems I read.

Summary: Finished reading "The Life You Save May Be Your Own" in class. Reflection: I did not expect the short story to end in the way it did. I expected a much lighter ending than the one that was presented.
