Prompt: Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

Prompt Response: When I was younger my dad told me he had to move away for work I didn't think that he would move away the next day, it was sad to see him leave but I understood why he had to. This connects to Frost's idea that nothing gold can stay as my dad visits but he isn't always there when I wish he was.

Summary: Annotated Robert Frost's "Nothing Gold Can Stay" and began worksheet over the poem "The Road Not Taken"

Reflection: I learned that poems can have a topic, theme, and moral, message or lesson within it. Knowing this will better help me understand and relate to poems as we progress through this lesson.
