You’ve been in American Literature for 4.5 weeks now. How has the class been going for you so far?

 Prompt Response: So far the class has been going pretty OK for me. I haven't really struggled with the work so far and have been doing quite well on the assigned work.


Summary: Began working on Logic over Emotion assignment.


Reflection: Today in class we went over a poem by Emily Dickinson and we broke it down to get a better understanding of it. I felt that I better learned and understood the poem this way and will most likely continue to read poems like this as we progress through the unit.

 Prompt Response: One time when my friends got into a heated argument I left to avoid getting pulled into it. Doing that made my life easier as I avoided being suspended. Summary: Finished reading "The Life You Save May Be Your Own" in class. Reflection: I did not expect the short story to end in the way it did. I expected a much lighter ending than the one that was presented.
