After reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity," which explores the poet's daring craft, write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.

Prompt Response: When I was around 10 years old I almost had to get stitches. I was playing with a few friends at a playground and we were playing tag. I was standing next to the monkey bars and thought it would be a good idea to spin in a circle and make myself dizzy. So I did and ended up running full speed into the metal monkey bars creating a gash on my forehead where blood was gushing out. My parents rushed over to help me and after I was done bleeding thought they might have to take me to the ER but I was fine and ended up never getting stitches but learned to never run full speed into the monkey bars ever again.

Summary: Analyzed Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity" in class.

Reflection: Today I learned how poets and writers are quite similar to more dangerous careers. In the case of the poem we read in class, it shows how both Acrobats and Poets are constantly Risking their livelihood in pursuit of their careers. While Acrobats are Risking their lives doing dangerous stunts, poets risk their lives  by publishing their poems. If the poems aren't well received then it can crush the poets fame and destroy their life.
